Elena Paladino
Office Manager
Elena was born on Long Island, NY and raised in Delaware. She attended Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown, DE where she received an AS in Journalism. She then went to Wilmington University in New Castle, DE where she graduated with a BS in Elementary Education. She worked editing pharmaceutical submissions directly out of college, but her passion was to work with children. Elena taught grades K-8 in various Catholic schools in Wilmington and always knew she would continue working with children in a service-oriented environment. After working at an urgent care facility, she decided to combine her experiences to help manage a pediatric orthopaedic office. She now resides in Harrington.
Courtney Ford
Practice Manager
Courtney relocated to Delaware in October of 2013. Originally from the west coast, she attended Northern Arizona University to receive her BA in English and went on to receive her MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Courtney has experience working in the health & fitness industry, hospitality, customer service, and communications. For the past six years, Courtney has been managing the Aquatics department for multiple branches of the YMCA of Delaware. She has worked extensively with youth and teens through partnerships with the City of Dover, Delaware Special Olympics, Dover Air Force Base, Delaware State University, and Autism Delaware. She is excited about joining Growing Bones Orthopaedic Institute where she can interact with staff, physicians, and patients on a daily basis.
Maria Galindo
Medical Assistant
Maria has lived in Delaware for the last 10 years but is originally from Arizona. she is the wife to an active duty airman in the United States Air Force and a mother of three. Maria first started working in the medical field in 2004 but decided to take a break and devote her time to her family. Though she enjoyed the privilege of being able to stay at home with her children she missed working and decided to return to work in the medical field in early 2019. Maria searched for her own externship site for the completion of her program and found an available position at Growing Bones Pediatric and Neuromuscular Orthopaedic Institute. After her externship was completed Maria was offered a permanent position as part of the Growing Bones team, which she happily accepted.
Sydney
Cast Technician
Sydney was raised in a small town outside of San Antonio, TX. She joined the Air Force in 2011 as law enforcement and served until 2018. Sydney recently graduated as a Limited X-ray tech in September of 2021. Shortly after, she relocated to Delaware with her husband, stationed at Dover AFB. Her long-term aspirations are to work in pediatric emergency care. She enjoys working with children and is very excited to join the Growing Bones team as a cast technician.
Felicia Connor, Psy.D. ABPP-RP
Founding Member
Felicia Connor, Psy.D. ABPP-RP is one of the founding members of Growing Bones Pediatric and Neuromuscular Orthopeadic Institute. She is a licensed clinical psychologist in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New York. She is Board Certified in Rehabilitation Psychology. She has substantial experience working with children, adolescents, and adults providing psychotherapy with individuals, families, and groups. For the last decade, she has specialized in neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation for individuals with medical and neurological conditions like concussion, brain injury, and multiple sclerosis. Her foundational training has prepared her to work with individuals who experience depression, trauma, anxiety, adjustment to disability, grief, pediatric and behavioral management, confidence building for high achieving individuals, relationship issues, employer burn-out, and multicultural issues. Integrating cognitive behavioral therapy, spirituality, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions have been instrumental in helping individuals feel empowered and confident to move their lives forward. Ultimately, she wants to support individuals to change their mind to change their life. Dr. Connor completed her undergraduate degree at Johnson C. Smith University and graduated from Argosy University with a doctorate in clinical psychology. She trained at Mt. Washington Children’s Hospital (Baltimore, MD) and Holcomb Behavioral Health for her internship and post-doctoral year. She held a psychologist position at A.I. DuPont Children’s Hospital in the rehabilitation department. She is a senior level psychologist at NYU Langone Health where she works in a rehabilitation setting with individuals with neurological and medical conditions and supervises pre-doctoral interns.
